Mental health and the in-house lawyer – continuing the conversation - webinar
Earlier this year our In-house Covid 19 Survey showed that one of the biggest issues facing in-house members was mental health, across the board in all sectors.
Being isolated from family, friends and neighbours, team members and the wider team, in addition to having a bigger workload or uncertainty at work is having a huge effect on the mental wellbeing of a large number of in-house lawyers.
In June we held our first webinar on mental health, specifically for the in-house community, which was very popular. This interactive session is to ensure we continue to have open and honest conversations about mental health and cover practical advice to help you, your colleagues, your teams and to talk about initiatives some individuals and organisations are taking to help.

Establishing in the United Arab Emirates - webinar

The UAE is a critical market for UK legal services. The UK exported over £126 million in legal services to the UAE in 2018 (ONS data), making it our 11th largest global legal services export market. There are over 40 UK law firms based in the UAE with an estimated 900+ English & Welsh, and 70+ Scottish solicitors practising there. The UAE is a liberal market for UK legal services and there are opportunities for SMEs in the UK legal sector to grow market share in the UAE.
This webinar, hosted by The Law Society in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, will provide an opportunity for small & medium-sized law firms wishing to gain a commercial presence to gain a better understanding from experienced lawyers who have an established presence in the UAE, as well as key government officials who are based there
